CanUeat is built to know as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no sign-up and no ad trackers.

1. What stays on your device

Your allergy list, language settings and chat history are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). They are not uploaded to our servers and disappear if you clear the site data.

2. What is sent when you use the AI check

When you check a dish, the photo, your allergy list and your follow-up messages are sent to our server and forwarded to Google (Gemini API) to generate the answer. We do not store these photos or messages; Google processes them under its own API terms. Do not include personal information you don't want processed this way.

3. The device code

Pro uses a random anonymous code generated on your device. On our side (Cloudflare KV) we store only: this code, the Pro expiry date, and daily request counters. The code is not linked to your name, email or payment identity.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by WATA, a third-party payment provider. Your card details never reach us. The payment order references only your anonymous device code and the chosen period.

5. Hosting and logs

The service runs on Cloudflare, which keeps standard technical logs (IP address, request time) for security and abuse prevention.

6. Analytics and cookies

No advertising trackers and no third-party analytics cookies. localStorage is used only for your settings.

7. Deleting your data

Clear the site data in your browser to remove everything stored locally. To remove your device code from our servers, email us the code shown in the app.
